Welcome to SKZ Prompting, a place within the SKZ fic writing/reading community to share ideas! Whether you're a writer in need of inspiration, a reader with a request, or just have an overactive imagination and can't possibly write it all, you have a place here!
Welcome! The general idea of this project is to aid in the collaboration of fic readers and writers. I have seen many readers speak on how much they would love to read a certain fic, but aren't comfortable enough to write it themselves. Likewise, I see writers dying to get something written who just need that spark of inspiration. Here we can share ideas together, no stress, no deadlines.

Claiming
If you have a prompt to contribute to the project, submitting is fairly easy. Simply use the form (found here or on twitter) and fill out the questions asked. Once submitted, I will enter the prompt into the master spreadsheet! Please be sure to state the ship you'd like, if any, as that is how prompts are sorted on the sheet!
Claiming has two steps. You can access the master spreadsheet of prompts here or through twitter and browse at your leisure. Prompts will mainly be sorted by ship, but prompts submitted with no ship in mind have their own sheet, as do prompts that are entirely NSFW focused. Each prompt has its own number on its sheet, so once you find one you like, fill out the claim form so I can mark it as such!
IMPORTANT QUESTIONS/ANSWERS
Q:What happens when someone claims my prompt?
A:Your prompt will remain on the doc for others to see and claim as they wish. There will, however, be an indicator showing that this prompt has been claimed and written. This is just so authors know similar works are already out there.
Q:Can I participate but remain anonymous?
A: Absolutely! While the option is there to have your name attached to your prompt, if you choose to remain anonymous that is entirely fine. I will not be advertising who claims any of the prompts.
Q: Are NSFW prompts allowed?
A: I am not limiting the types of prompts contributed to this project. However, if the prompt is mainly NSFW (something like PWP), it will go into a NSFW sheet regardless of the ship. This is so you can feel free to be detailed about what you want to see, but those who prefer not to come across NSFW prompts are also protected. If the prompt is mainly plot oriented, but you do want NSFW of some sort, just type yes in the NSFW section of the form and I will try to reflect that in the spreadsheet.
Q: Publicity? Can I promote my works through this project? A: Yes! There is already an AO3 collection set up which I do encourage you to use and gain exposure through! And the project will certainly create connections between readers and writers, which will of course bring more interest to your works. If you promote your work on twitter, tag the @skzprompting account and I will try to retweet the work as well!
A quick note about this project and myself (me, Koto on AO3, 0hrhj0 on twitter, hello!).
This is my first time doing something remotely like this! I really hope it goes well, but please understand, it's still a work in progress! If it goes crazy well I may recruit someone else to help moderate, if not just keep in mind this is currently a one person operation. If you have any suggestions for what could make it better, I would love to hear them! You can tell me through curiouscat or twitter DMs, I will try to be as responsive as possible. And to everyone participating, thank you! I personally find myself needing that little spark of an idea to write sometimes, and I've been dying for something like this, so when I couldn't find it I chose to make it! It's clearly inspired by some of the incredible ficfests the writing community puts on, but for those of us who don't thrive under deadlines, I wanted to offer a lower stress alternative. I hope you all enjoy!
